Faithful reproduction of the Coolest toy I ever got out of a cereal box!
JJ
I can remember being 7 or 8 in the 1960's and getting one of these toy submarines as a bonus in a breakfast cereal box. I did not care what kind of cereal it was, how it tasted, etc. If it had one of these in it I would do whatever was necessary to make my mom buy it for me - promise to clean my room for a year, walk the dog every night, mow the yard, etc. I was trying to describe it to my spouse, Googled it, and saw you had them available! I ordered 2. When they came I thought they were a bit larger than the ones I remembered (these said they were from 1950's cereal boxes, and the ones I remembered were from the 1960's). I filled the tub and filled the sub with baking powder - can't use baking soda, it won't stay in the chamber - and it dove and surfaced just as I remembered. Thanks for letting me re-live something fun from my childhood!

My brother and I had these when we were kids. There was also a scuba diver. His two grandsons, age 3 and five love them. I just wish I could what cereal they came in. I am thinking shredded wheat. I bought three of them and gave one to a friend, who has a autistic daughter, and she looks forward to her bath every night. She told me that buying baking powder was going to drive her bankrupt, so I went to Cosco and bought four large boxes.

I was very disappointed in this order. My little great grandson really wanted a toy submarine and we could not find one in any of the stores we went to, so I checked the internet. The picture of the submarine looked like what he wanted, but there was no size stated in the ad. I ordered it expecting it to be at least 10" inches long, but was very disappointed when I saw it. Indy did not like it at all and didn't even want to take it out of the package. So basically I just wasted $8.00 on the sub and postage and have one very unhappy little boy.
