September 27, 1966 – The Beatles’ manager, Brian Epstein, was admitted to the hospital for an overdose of prescription drugs.
September 29, 1967 – John and George recorded an interview with David Frost for the show, “The Frost Programme.” The subject was Transcendental Meditation.
October 1, 1967 – Filming continued on the bus for the “Magical Mystery Tour.”
September 27, 1968 – “Hey Jude” reached No. 1 on the US charts, staying there for 9 weeks.
October 1, 1969 – The album “Abbey Road” was released in the US.
September 29, 1975 – Wings released “Letting Go”/”You Gave Me The Answer” in the US.
September 27, 1976 – The album “Ringo’s Rotogravure” was released in the US.
September 27, 1982 – “The Complete Silver Beatles” was released in the US where it climbed to No. 2 in the charts.
