June 4, 1962 – The Beatles signed a recording contract with EMI.
June 6, 1962 – The band made their first trip to the Abbey Road studios to make a recording test for Parlophone records.
June 4, 1963 – “Pop Go the Beatles” was broadcast for the first time. 2.8 Million people watched.
June 3. 1964 – Ringo was hospitalized with severe tonsillitis and could not perform in the tour until June 15th. Jimmy Nicol was chosen to fill in on the drums until Ringo recovered.
June 4, 1964 – The Beatles’ first world tour started at KB Hallen in Copenhagen, Denmark. 9,000 Fans watched the performance.
June 4, 1965 – The EP “Beatles for Sale” was released in the UK on Parlophone.
June 1, 1966 – A recording session was held at Abbey Road for the “Yellow Submarine” soundtrack. The staff members as well as Pattie Boyd, Marianne Faithful, and Brian Jones joined in to create the sounds.
June 2, 1967 – “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” was released in the US. It had advance orders of more than a million copies.
June 5, 1968 – The Beatles began work on “Don’t Pass Me By,” Ringo’s song.
June 1, 1969 – “Give Peace A Chance” was recorded by The Plastic Ono Band during John and Yoko’s Canadian “bed-in.”
