May 28, 1960 – Playing as the Silver Beetles, the band played their final tour date at the Rescue Hall in Aberdeen as the supporting band for Johnny Gentle and his tour of Scotland.
May 24, 1963 – The band recorded the first program for the BBC radio series, “Pop Go The Beatles.”
May 30, 1964 – “Love Me Do” hit No. 1 in the US charts.
May 27, 1966 – John Lennon and Bob Dylan were filmed riding in a limousine together from John’s house to the Mayfair Hotel. Drugs may have been involved.
May 25, 1967 – “It’s All Too Much,” a song from “Yellow Submarine” was recorded at De Lane Lea Recording Studios.
May 29, 1967 – “The Beatles Revive Hope In Pop Music,” an analysis of “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band,” written by William Mann, was published in “The Times.”
May 30, 1968 – The recording session for “Revolution 1” and “Revolution 9” was attended by Yoko Ono. This was not popular with the rest of the band.
May 26, 1969 – John and Yoko’s album, “Unfinished Music No. 2: Life with the Lions,” was released in the US. Also, George released his second solo LP, “Electric Sound” in the US.
May 28, 1971 – “Ram,” Paul’s second solo album, was released in the US.
May 23, 1975 – Paul and Wings released “Listen To What the Man Said”/”Love In Song” in the US.
