April 1, 1964 – John Lennon met with his father, Freddie, who he hadn’t seen in 20 years.
April 4, 1964 – The Beatles held all of the top five positions on the US Billboard charts. 1)”Can’t Buy Me Love” 2)”Twist and Shout” 3)”She Loves You” 4)”I Wanna Hold Your Hand” 5)”Please Please Me”
April 4, 1965 – After two months of filming their movie, “Help!” was chosen as the title. Paul and John wrote the title track, “Help!”
April 1, 1966 – “Nowhere Man”/”What Goes On” was awarded a gold disc in the US.
March 30, 1967 – The Beatles had a photo shoot with Michael Cooper. The pictures would be used with Peter Blake’s design for the cover sleeve of Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.
April 3, 1967 – George was the only Beatle around to work on “With You Without You.” He added the vocals, the sitar and acoustic guitar.
April 2, 1968 – The band initiated Python Music Ltd, a new publishing company.
March 31, 1969 – John and Yoko traveled to Vienna to promote their film, “Rape.” They appeared at a press conference dressed in a white-sheet bag to promote peace.
April 4, 1970 – “Let It Be” reached the No. 1 spot in the US charts and stayed there for 2 weeks.
March 31, 1978 – “London Town,” the seventh album by Wings, was released in the UK.
