May 2, 1963 – “From Me To You” reached No. 1 in the UK singles charts.
April 26, 1964 – After 15 weeks of not performing, The Beatles returned to the stage at the Empire Pool in Wembley. It was the New Musical Express 1963-64 Annual Poll Winners’ All-Star Concert in front of a crowd of 10,000.
May 2, 1964 – “The Beatles Second Album” knocked “Meet The Beatles” out of the No. 1 slot in the US, and stayed there for five weeks.
April 28, 1965 – The Beatles were presented with a Grammy Award for Best Performance by a Vocal Group for “A Hard Day’s Night.” This was done at the studio and taped so it could be broadcast in the US during the award show.
May 1, 1966 – The last live Beatles performance in Britain took place at the Empire Pool Wembley for the New Musical Express Annual Poll Winners’ All-Star Concert.
April 29, 1967 – The 14 Hour Technicolor Dream Event, (a multi-artist event) took place at Alexandra Palace. John Lennon performed, and Yoko Ono was also a performer.
April 30, 1968 – Paul recorded the single “Thingumybob” with the Black Dyke Blues Band.
April 30, 1969 – John and Paul worked together on “You Know My Name.”
May 1, 1970 – George Harrison jammed with Bob Dylan for Dylan’s album “New Morning.”
April 30, 1973 – Paul and Wings released the album “Red Rose Speedway” in the US.
