“The Diet Uncola”

Like soda was first released in 1963. It was the diet version of the very successful 7 Up soda. The original formula contained a cyclamate sugar substitute. Cyclamates were found to be carcinogens and were banned by the Food and Drug Administration in 1969. The soda was pulled from the market in the same year. Like was reformulated and the name was changed to Diet 7 Up. It was rereleased in 1970.
We’d love for you to blog-in if you have anything you’d like to share about Like soda.

I would like to see some of the TV commercials for Like soda. I remember one of them was with a lady beside a pool. I knew this person but forgot her name … oops
Thank you
