1955 Ford New England Journeys Road Map
This New England Journeys road map was distributed by the Ford Dealers Of New England. It was most likely published in 1955, based on the ’55 Ford on the cover. Not only do these maps encourage people to travel about New England, they also provide an advertising venue to the Ford carmakers. In the cover illustration, there is a brand new Ford parked outside of a quaint New England antique shop, as well as a view of the countryside and the seashore.
On the reverse of the map is an ad for the New England Journeys travel guide book to help travelers with local dining, lodging and sightseeing info when planning a getaway.
