We thought it might be interesting each week to bring you a photo and information of an interesting, and maybe unusual, retro item we have kicking around. Please note these items are not for sale.

This is a point-of-purchase sign that advertises Formica laminated plastic and contact bond cement. It is probably from the 1950s, as it appears to have a similar look to the brochure we posted earlier this week in our blog (“1951 Vintage Formica Brochure”).  The sign is made of metal and was paired with instructions for installing the Formica. There are some great line drawings of home interiors from the 1950s where the Formica could be used.
