Last time we talked about affordable bar stools ($150 or less), so now let’s focus on accompanying tables and lighting.
As you know, I’m all about sticking to a manageable budget, so I sought tables and lamps in the $150 range that don’t skimp on style.
If you lack a breakfast nook, would like to downsize your current eating area, or want a surface to complement some retro stools, an adjustable bar table will add a sleek, modern style to virtually any design factor.
For accent tables, a Tavillo glass-top side table works well as a nightstand or living room side table. With an illuminated cone (stem), it provides a subtle effect. The Tavillo comes in yellow, green and black.
I had a hard time narrowing down lighting, because there are so many options.
The Fotia Floor Lamp is blooming with soft, flowery style that adds a touch of texture as well as illumination to your living space. Or for a little extra color and the ability to shine light wherever you need it, the Medusa Floor Lamp is slightly above my budget, but it features five flexible arms.
If you’re looking for a more modern touch, try a Shell Floor Lamp or the Flexell Table Lamp (which is under $50). The stunning Shell sports an adjustable shade, so you can control the amount of light in your room, and the Flexell features moveable wooden slats that allow you to move and twist the shade into your own design.
