November 26, 1962 – The Beatles recorded “Please Please Me” and “Ask Me Why” at Abbey Road. The songs made up their second single.
November 23, 1964 – “I Feel Fine”/”She’s A Woman” was released in the US. Also released in the US was the LP “The Beatles’ Story.” Also this day, the band taped a session for “Ready, Steady, Go!”
November 25, 1965 – The department store Harrods closed its door to the public for 3 hours so that the band could finish their Christmas shopping.
November 24, 1966 – The boys began work on their next album, starting with the song “Strawberry Fields Forever.” Strawberry Field was an actual place, a Salvation Army home, near where John Lennon grew up.
November 22, 1968 – The double LP “The Beatles” (better known as the White Album) was released in the UK. Three days later, it was released in the US.
