I have a couple of Sun Rise soda bottles that are dated 1954 and are from Minnesota. Although these dates do not match up with yours an easy explanation would be that Sunrise acquired some bottles that were already a few years old in Minnesota to bottle their drink.

Thanks for the good article. I did not know that the Tazwell sunrise was connected to the Minnesota bottles.

In 1946 the Fisk Tire Company sponsored a quiz program on WSPR in Springfield, Massachusetts. I was selected to portray the Fisk Tire Boy and began each program by walking down the central aisle of the ball room of the old Hotel Kimball with a tire and candle, marching up on stage and reciting " I am the Fisk Boy, I'm so tired it's time to retire". I was six at the time and it was my first paying job.

My husband was hunting on some property of my uncle's, Larens county, Ga. he brought me a Brownie bottle today. And like mentioned above, the little guy has a brown hat instead of white. No top . The bottle is clear, the fluid ounces is rubbed off, but rest seems ok. Nothing but a picture on front , small circle pic on neck and the 'taste the difference' on back, no other lettering. I'll just rinse the dirt out and set it with other oddities he finds in the woods. Nice to see some info on it, thanks :)

Do you have any idea what a 4 1/2 foot fiberglass, restored, Bob's Big Boy statue would be worth?
