<p style="text-align: left;">November 15, 1959 – John, Paul and George made the final audition for Carroll Levi’s “TV Star Search” as Johnny and the Moondogs.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">November 21, 1960 – During the Beatles’ tour of Hamburg, Germany, George was deported back to England because he was under 18 and not allowed to be in a nightclub after midnight.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">November 20, 1963 – Pathe News filmed the boys playing at ABC Cinema in Manchester. The footage was used for a newsreel called “The Beatles Come To Town,” which was shown in theaters right before Christmas.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;">November 16, 1964 – “I Feel Fine” and “She’s A Woman” were recorded for an edition of “Top of the Pops” at the Riverside Studios.</p>

<p>November 12, 1963 – A show at Portsmouth was postponed due to Paul collapsing during rehearsals because of the gastric flu.</p>
<p>November 10, 1964 – The last show of their UK tour was played at Colston Hall, Bristol.</p>
<p>November 12, 1965 – “The Beatles in Italy,” an album, was released only for the Italian market.</p>
<p>November 9, 1966 – John met Yoko Ono for the first time when he attended a private art exhibition featuring her Unfinished Paintings and Objects at London’s Indica Gallery.</p>
<p>November 9, 1967 – The first edition of “Rolling Stone” magazine featured John Lennon on its cover. The picture was from the movie How I Won the War, in which John had a role.</p>
<p>November 13, 1968 – The film “Yellow Submarine” opened in New York City.</p>
<p>November 9, 1971 – “Imagine” was released in the US.</p>
<p>November 11, 1974 – Ringo released “Only You”/”Call Me” in the US.</p>

<p>October 18, 1977 – The Beatles won the Best British Pop Album for “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band” at the British Record Industry Britannia Awards.  The event was held to honor British since 1952; the year the Queen became the Queen.</p>
<p>October 24, 1979 – The “Guinness Book of Records” presented Paul with a rhodium disc for most successful popular-music composer and recording artist ever with sales of 100 million singles and 60 gold discs.</p>

<p>September 24, 1963 – The last edition of “Pop Go The Beatles” was broadcast.</p>
<p>September 20, 1964 – The Beatles performed the last show of their US tour in New York. They gave a charity performance for United Cerebral Palsy of New York City and Retarded Infant Services.  The show was called “An Evening With The Beatles.”</p>
<p>September 26, 1965 – The film “Help!” won the Grand Prix at the International Film Festival in Rio.</p>
<p>September 20, 1967 – Filming took place for “Magical Mystery Tour” at West Malling Air Station In Kent.  The base had been used in World War II by the American Air Force.</p>
<p>September 26, 1968 – The “Hey Jude” promotional film was broadcast on BBC’s “Top of the Pops.”</p>
<p>September 20, 1969 – In a meeting with Allen Klein and the band, John announced that he would be leaving the group.</p>
<p>September 25, 1970 – Ringo released his album “Beaucoups of Blues” in the UK.</p>
<p>September 20, 1972 – Cannabis plants were found by the police at the McCartneys’ farm in Scotland.</p>
<p>September 24, 1973 – Ringo’s “Photograph”/”Down and Out” was released in the US.</p>
<p>September 26, 1974 – “Walls and Bridges,” John’s album, went on sale in the US.</p>

<p>September 13, 1960 – Pete Best joined the band as drummer.  At that time the band was known as The Silver Beetles.</p>
<p>September 14, 1963 – “She Loves You”/”I’ll Get You” reached No. 1 in the UK charts, staying there for four weeks.</p>
<p>September 15, 1964 – At the Public Auditorium in Cleveland, OH, The Beatles had to leave the stage for 15 minutes during their show so that police could gain control of the hysterical crowd.</p>
<p>September 17, 1964 – A world record was broken when The Beatles were paid $150,000 to add a show to their American tour in Kansas City, Missouri.</p>
<p>September 16, 1965 – “Eight Days A Week” reached gold record status in the US.</p>
<p>September 18, 1966 – In Spain on location for the movie “How I Won the War,” John wrote “Strawberry Fields Forever.”</p>
<p>September 13, 1967 – Filming for “Magical Mystery Tour” continued at Watergate Bay, Holywell, and Perth.</p>
<p>September 14, 1968 – “Hey Jude”/”Revolution” climbed to the top of the UK charts, staying there for 2 weeks.</p>
<p>September 13, 1969 – The Plastic Ono Band debuted at the Varsity Stadium in Toronto.  Playing with John and Yoko was Eric Clapton, Klaus Voormann and Alan White.  John’s decision to leave The Beatles was kept quiet because of legal issues.</p>
<p>September 17, 1976 – Ringo’s album, “Ringo’s Rotogravure” was released in Britain.</p>
