Fisk Tire Boy

The Little Fisk Tire Boy was created in 1907 by an advertising agency retained by the Fisk Rubber Corporation. The companion slogan was “Time to Re-tire”. The Fisk Boy and slogan were both first used in an advertisement in the “Saturday Evening Post” in 1914 and were eventually trademarked in more than 90 countries. The Fisk Boy was one of the best-known trademarks across the US by 1928. Later versions of the Fisk Boy were wearing a smile, as opposed to being in the middle of a yawn. This change was made in 1930. This Fisk Boy is one that we restored. We are showing a few before, during and after photos from our restoration process.
