Uncle Sam's Cash Register Bank (Black)

We bought a black one in early 1970's. We have not used it much but it is still in good working order after approximately 35 years. It has become a "HIT" with my two grandsons ages 8 & 11. I do not remember what we paid for it. Does anyone else know what they sold for then? Knowing our income at the time I am guessing it was priced in the range of about $5.99 in the 1970's.
My personal preference is the black paint color. The Red paint simply does not seem TO ME to be the right color.
